Electrical Panelboard Scheduler Pro 2014

The software and cheat sheets from Powersoft Engineering will aid electrical engineers, designers, consultants or contractors in the electrical systems design of commercial buildings no matter how complex.  EPS has all the tools you need in designing electrical panelboards from 60A/120V to a 168 circuit 6000A gear. EPS will only work on systems that use conduit in commercial buildings.

EPS has a full range of design features such as voltage drop; wire; conduit; breaker sizing with load summaries and demand/connected categorized loads. The professional version also offers electrical projects for storing multiple panelboard schedules used in a system and an easily visible riser diagram tree for which users can connect together by drag and drop operations.  This offers users the ability to connect and size branch circuits from one source to another and track circuit parameters automatically throughout the riser.  Never has this task been easier.  EPS will then calculate short circuit, voltage drops and wire lengths throughout the branches and warn users when circuit elements are not adjusted properly.  Branch circuits can also be copied from other panelboards making the entire design process as effortless as possible and very efficient.

Designers can use this software for efficiently tracking all aspects of a buildings electrical system in more detail.  Every aspect is quickly and easily visible.  EPS Pro has been tested on multiple projects over the last years.

Screen shots and descriptions

The startup screen
The startup screen

Licensing screen
Licensing screen will display number of days remaining on 30 day demo
Startup project scheduler
An empty project scheduler startup screen.  From here designers can start a project with base voltage perimeters, and source type.  Pressing the new button will open a file save-as dialog and it is requires for each project in separate directory.
Project properties can be changed at any time
Before starting projects or especially panelboards make sure all settings are set to parameters assigned in this dialog.  It is important to how EPS will assign wire and it properties.
Existing panelboard setup
Not required except to assign a short circuit ratings for a riser. This window uses an existing panelboard or switchgear.  All options are optional except for the short circuit rating.
Electrical riser view
A somewhat finished project can show all source and branch circuit components within a riser with its properties.  Select any component to display its properties.
Export options on riser
There are many export options that  will generate the reports within seconds, without using any additional programs.  Excel is not required to generate these reports.
Electrical Panelboard Scheduler front page
The scheduler can modify every aspect of electrical wiring that is required.  Any modifications here will be reflected in the riser when it is refreshed.
Electrical Panelboard Scheduler back page
This screen shot shows where all the branch circuit components can be modified and sized per each receptacle, panelboard or transformer component.  Buss and phasing loads can be balanced as needed by using drag and drop from one circuit to another.

Settings and tools

Dimming EPS window
To change transparency for the panel scheduler window use dimmer rating control.  This is helpful when only one video screen is used.  EPS is designed and used on multiple screens and with resolutions up to 4k. This is so designers can see any background information.
Change Diversity Factors
To change diversity factor rating for load types use this interface.
Manually assign amperage to wire ratings
Manually assign amperage to each terminal temperature rating and each wire size.  This is how EPS assigns the amperage for each wire rating.
Bill Of Materials
Users may wish to view a Bill Of Materials for wire and conduit based on internal formulas and the parameters list.
Size main feeders
Sizing main feeders can be based on four factors which can each be modified.
Printing options
There are multiple printing options for exporting reports.
Resizing phasing conductors
For resizing phasing conductors, there is ample information available that is not available under traditional methods that would take minutes to calculate.
Resizing Grounding conductors
For resizing grounding conductors, there is ample information available that is not available under traditional methods that would take minutes to calculate.
Resizing Grounding conductors
For resizing electrode conductors, when required, there is ample information available that is not available under traditional methods that would take minutes to calculate.
Resizing Conduit
For resizing conduit sizing, there is ample information available that is not available under traditional methods that would take minutes to calculate.
Resizing Breakers
For resizing breaker sizes, there is ample information available that is not available under traditional methods that would take minutes to calculate.
Warning and log screen
EPS will generate  warnings and messages that will be logged on this screen and saved as an text file, in the project folder, when EPS is closed to let users know who edited and the elapsed time users were in data file.
Voltage drop calc
Users can test voltage drop settings using this built-in calculator.

Conduit fill calc
Users can test conduit fill settings using this built-in calculator.
Load calculator
Users can calculate loads based on unknown values like KW, KW when HP is known, KVA, Amps when KW known, Amps when KVA known or Amps when HP known using this built-in calculator.
